The people behind three decades of comfort
Genesis Comfort Solutions is a family from Greenbrier that has spent more than thirty years keeping Central Arkansas warm in January and cool in August. This is the long version of who we are: where we started, how we work, and the standard we hold ourselves to on every call. The short version is on the home page; this is the whole of it.
Our story
From a Greenbrier startup to Central Arkansas's go-to
We opened our doors in Greenbrier in 1994 as a family business in a small Faulkner County town, working out of a truck and a phone book. What we had going for us was straightforward: we knew the trade, we knew the people, and we showed up when we said we would. Word travels in a place like this. Do right by one family's furnace and their neighbor calls you next. Thirty years on, that is still how most of our work comes in.
Central Arkansas is home. We raised families here, worship here, and buy our groceries from the same stores we service. That closeness sets a standard whether we like it or not: the customer whose ductwork we sized is someone we'll see at church or the ball field, and we've never wanted to be the contractor anyone regrets calling. It's a quieter kind of accountability than a warranty card, and it's held us to careful work for three decades.
The scope of what we do has grown a great deal since 1994. In the early years it was mostly furnaces and window units; today we install variable-speed heat pumps, design whole-home zoning, run refrigeration for restaurants and shops, and put geothermal ground loops in the field. But we never stopped taking the small work: the no-heat call on a January morning, the capacitor that failed on the hottest day of July, the tune-up before winter. A firm that only chases the big installs forgets how to fix things. We didn't.
We are people of faith and of our word, and we run the business that way. Honest counsel means we'll tell you when a repair is the smarter money than a replacement, even when the replacement pays us more. Standing behind our work means we fix what we install if it isn't right. Treating your investment as we would our own means the shortcut is off the table; the details you'll never see are done the way we'd want them in our own homes. None of that is painted on a truck. It's simply the standard we hold ourselves to on every call, and it's the reason customers we served in the nineties still have our number.
Our method
How we size a system right
Most comfort complaints, from rooms that never cool to a system that short-cycles and wears out early, trace back to equipment that was guessed at rather than sized. On every new install we follow the Air Conditioning Contractors of America standards, in order, before a unit is ever placed. It takes longer up front. It's the difference between a system that limps and one that runs quietly and lasts.

STEP 01
Load calculation
We measure the building, including insulation, windows, orientation and infiltration, to find the true heating and cooling load, never a rule of thumb.
ACCA MANUAL J -
STEP 02
Duct design
Airflow is engineered to deliver the right volume to every room, at the right static pressure, without noise or hot spots.
ACCA MANUAL D -
STEP 03
Equipment selection
Equipment is matched to the calculated load, never oversized and never guessed, so you get the efficiency the system was built to deliver.
ACCA MANUAL S -
STEP 04
Commissioning
We verify airflow, charge and performance on startup, then document it as proof the system delivers exactly what it was designed to.
VERIFIED & LOGGED
Our values
What guides the work
These aren't a mission statement we wrote for the website. They're the four things we actually check ourselves against on a job, and honestly most of why the phone still rings after thirty years.
-
Sized right
Manual J load calcs, Manual D duct design, Manual S selection. We size and check a new system to the building, so it runs the way it should from day one.
-
Craftsmanship
Clean ductwork, tight fittings, orderly mechanical rooms. The details a customer never sees are the ones that decide whether a system lasts.
-
Faith & integrity
Honest counsel and a straight answer, every time. We treat your investment the way we would treat our own family's, and we stand behind our word.
-
Experience on every job
From a small repair to geothermal and advanced systems, the same seasoned crew shows up. Decades of hands-on work is what we bring to your home or business.
The full trade
Why we kept the whole trade in-house
Plenty of shops carve off the profitable slice: new installs only, no refrigeration, no small jobs. We went the other way on purpose. Keeping heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration all under one roof means a technician who understands your whole building, not one piece of it, and it means you have one number to call whether the walk-in is warm or the furnace won't light. Geothermal and variable-speed work is the demanding end of what we do; a tune-up is the everyday of it. Both get the same crew.
- Everyday repairs, tune-ups and new-system installs, no job too small
- Refrigeration for restaurants, shops and stores: coolers, walk-ins, reach-ins
- Geothermal & high-efficiency systems, designed and commissioned in-house
Experience that shows
Three decades in the field is pattern recognition you can't shortcut: the odd noise, the intermittent fault, the install that was wrong from the start. We've usually seen it, and we diagnose before we quote.
One accountable team
Home or business, a small repair or a full install, all handled by our own people so nothing falls through the cracks.
A record that follows us
Three decades of homeowners, builders and property managers who keep calling. That trust is something we work to keep.
